Superhero Ice Cream Cones (with free printable wrapper pattern)

Having a superhero ice cream party? Let me show you how you can make superhero ice cream cone wrappers to add some fun to your superhero party. I even included a free printable wrapper pattern that you can download yourself.

With having two sons,  superhero themed birthday parties were common in our house when they were younger.  Finding themed napkins and plates were easy, but finding  fun stuff like ice cream cone wrappers wasn’t easy. So, my wife and I came up with a idea to make our own superhero ice cream cone wrappers. They are easy to make, you can use scrapbook paper, wrapping paper or even a poster. We’ll show how and even give you a free printable download.

To make our superhero ice cream cones we shopped at Smart & Final. It’s right down the street from our house and quicker to get in and out compared to the big supermarkets. We bought the store brand First Street ice cream and First Street cones. We buy them often because we like their variety and the taste is as good as the name brands. We also like the price of the ice cream compared to the name brands.

Smart and Final First Street Ice CreamTo make your ice cream cone wrappers, you will need superhero paper. We found it the easiest to use a Marvel poster. So you will need a superhero poster, ice cream cone wrapper pattern, glue stick or tape, and scissors.

Click HERE to download your free printable ice cream cone wrapper pattern.

Superhero Ice Cream Cones Wrapper PatternAfter you cut out all your ice cream cone wrappers, you will glue or tape them on to your sugar cones. Make sure you glue or tape to the wrapper not the cones!

Superhero Ice Cream Cones Wrapper PatternRepeat this with all your wrappers and cones. I thought they came out pretty cool.

Superhero Ice Cream Cones Wrapper PatternAs added fun we even made custom sprinkles in superhero colors. It’s easy to do by adding food color to white sprinkles. My wife learned how from this blog post: DIY Sprinkles.

custom colored sprinklesNow you can make your superhero ice cream cones! Use any First Street ice cream flavor you want and your custom superhero sprinkles. My kids loved them, but did fight over who got Captain America.

What superhero would you want on your ice cream cone?
